Accessibility statement for synapsemfg.com
Synapse Mfg wants every visitor to be able to read this site and reach us from it, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or reduced motion. This page states the standard we work to, what has been done, where the site still falls short, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
Last reviewed October 10, 2026.
What standard does this site follow?
This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the benchmark the U.S. Department of Justice and the courts reference for website compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Where WCAG 2.2 adds requirements, such as minimum target size and focus appearance, the site follows those as well.
What has been done?
Every page was audited against WCAG 2.1 AA on October 10, 2026, and the issues found were fixed the same day. The site now provides:
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, a single H1 per page, a logical heading order and named landmarks for navigation, main content and footer.
- Full keyboard operation. Every link, button, form field and the mobile menu can be reached with Tab and activated with Enter or Space, with a visible focus ring.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background, including muted labels, and at least 3:1 for form-field borders and focus indicators.
- Text alternatives on every meaningful image and logo, and empty alternatives on decorative artwork so screen readers skip it.
- A label on every form field, required fields marked in the HTML, and consent checkboxes with the full consent text attached to the box.
- Links that say where they go. Links that open a new tab announce that to screen readers.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system, which stops the background animation and the counting numbers.
- Layouts that work at 200% zoom and on narrow phones without horizontal scrolling, and no block on pinch zoom.
- No accessibility overlay or widget. Overlays rewrite the page after it loads and are a frequent source of complaints, so the fixes live in the pages themselves.
How is accessibility tested?
Each page is run through the axe-core automated checks for WCAG 2.1 AA and walked through with the keyboard alone. The same checks run again whenever a page is added or changed, and the whole site is re-audited at least every three months.
What are the known limitations?
A few parts of the experience are supplied by other companies and sit outside our direct control:
- The booking calendar at cal.com, which opens when you choose "Book a call". If it doesn't work for you, call (561) 506-9230 and we'll schedule the call by phone.
- The form delivery service behind the request-information and SMS opt-in forms. The forms themselves are on this site and are fully labelled.
- The employee and client dashboards linked from the footer, which are separate applications with their own sign-in.
If you meet a barrier in any of these, tell us. We'll pass it to the provider and give you another way to do the same thing.
How do I report a problem?
Email dylan@synapsemfg.com or call (561) 506-9230. Say which page you were on, what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you were using. We reply within two business days and fix confirmed issues as quickly as we can. Any document on this site is available in an alternative format on request.
